Religion Curriculum & Sacraments
Catholic teachings and values are fundamental to our school. Faith's guiding role in our lives, in all things great and small, is examined and fosterd throughout our curriculum. Daily prayer, weekly Mass and annual retreats serve as valuable elements in our education of the whole person. Religion classes are held daily and students help plan and participate in weekly schoolwide liturgies. The Archdiocese curiculum, "Good-Touch/Bad-Touch" requires classroom instruction focusing on awareness protection.
Preparation for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation is part of the basic Religion curriculum at St. Mary School.
Service projects to the School Parish and larger community are organized by teachers, Student Council and the Holy Childhood Moderator.
Retreats are held on campus and coordinated by the teacher and school Religion Coordinator.
