Volunteer Requirements: ALL adults who wish to volunteer in classrooms, field trips, cafeteria, retreats, coaching, at events, in the presence of children or in any other capacity  are REQUIRED to complete Virtus Training and Fingerprinting as per Saint Mary's School policy. A copy of  the Virtus certificate and fingerprinting receipt must be submitted to the office for our records. Virtus Training certification MUST be renewed every 4 years. Fingerprinting is a one-time only requirement, please keep in mind verification of clearance from the Archdiocese does take time. Health News

Attention Parents of 1st, 7th & 8th Grade Students:
All students entering 1st Grade are required to submit verification of a health physical, per Archdiocesan and California Department of Health guidelines. Forms are provided at registration and due prior to enrollment.

Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, continues to threaten students in California. To help stop its spread, all incoming 7th and 8th graders are required by law to have proof of a whooping cough booster (‘Tdap’) shot in order to attend classes. Students will not be allowed to attend classes without a shot record. Please contact the school office if you have any questions regarding this requirement. Verification must be received prior to enrollment.

CEF Scholarship Applications

The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) sponsors tuition scholarship awards for students who attend Catholic elementary and high schools. Cycle 1 of the Tuition Awards Program (TAP) offer a scholarship award for students in Grade 8 applying to a Catholic high school within the Archdiocese, applied toward fours year at a participating elementary school (yearly renewal and eligibility required) . Cycle 1 (2014-15) has been closed.

The CEF Programs office has processed TAP Applications for Cycle 3 (2013-14). Application decisions for round 1 of Cycle 3 were sent out the 3rd week of June. It was announced in late November that no awards will be granted for students on the Wait List this year due to a lack of donations/funding.

Cycle 2 is for the 2014-15 School Year and current 8th Grade Students who plan to attend a Catholic High School. Applications are available at the enrolling High School and must be completed and submitted to the High School of choice directly. Applications are no longer processed through the Elementary School. Please contact the High School for their deadline to submit.

Cycle 3 (2014-15) applications will be released January 29, 2014. Students who are current recipients or were wait listed will receive an application from the Finance Office. New interested parties are welcome and encouraged to pick-up an application. DEADLINE FOR CYCLE 3 HAS EXPIRED.

Decision letters of award status are sent directly from CEF. Assistance awards are at the sole discretion of the CEF Board and not Saint Mary School.
