Safety & Security

In order to preserve a safe academic environment, Archdiocesan and parish schools are designated as "closed campuses." No person may enter the campus unless authorized by the school administration. Visitors must present themselves at the school office if they are seeking information or have business to conduct with the school.
The school and parish Religious Education programs have established ongoing safe environment training programs for students, children, and youth. Parents are provided home-based materials to help them understand and support their student's education regarding child sexual abuse. The approved programs include Good-Touch/Bad-touch and Virtus Teaching Touching Safety (mandated September 1, 2006). Staff, parents, and volunteers are required to attend the VIRTUS® Protecting God’s Children Adult Awareness training. A background check is required of all staff and volunteers as well.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school will take measures to ensure the safety and health of our students, families, and staff. The school follows the safety guidelines provided by local and state authorities. In order to keep or community safe, the school will continue to reinforce the following protocols:
Social distancing
The use of masks throughout the school day (unless students are alone at their desks)
The use of desk partitions
Individual student supplies
Constant handwashing or use of antibacterial gel
Daily cleaning and disinfecting of the entire campus
Students will eat outdoors and with appropriate social distancing
Staggered lunch and recess times
Please see the Parent-Student Handbook for more information on health and safety, including the school's Earthquake & Disaster Plan.
